I don't need a Wedding Planner...do I?
The average wedding can take more than two hundred and fifty hours to plan. With today's hectic lifestyles, you may not have time to compare all the options, making sure you get the best deal.
A wedding consultant is an essential element of a well-planned affair. Being experienced in negotiating contracts with caterers, florists, photographers, and other suppliers, Occasions saves you valuable time and money.
We are not here to make decisions for you, but to guide and assist you in making informed decisions.
Can I afford an event consultant?
A consultant should be part of your budget, not an extra expense. In fact, you often save money because we suggest less expensive alternatives without sacrificing the elegance of your event. Our motto is to "spend where you have to, save where you can".
Do I need a contract with my consultant?
It is wise to have some sort of an agreement in writing. With Occasions , we supply a full contract to ensure that all of the necessary details and expectations are clearly acknowledged up front, there are no surprises. A fee schedule and payment schedule are also included in this agreement.
Won't an event consultant want to run the show?
This is your day. Our responsibility lies in what you want. We work with you, handling as much or as little as you want. We are here to help you and your family plan the a perfect day and be able to enjoy it.
Why can't I do the planning myself?
You certainly can do all of the planning yourself, and sometimes it can be fun. But, it can also be overwhelming and time consuming, making sure all of the details are in place and getting the best deal you can for your money. Wouldn't you rather spend time with your fiancé, family and friends planning for the future you are going to have? We have the training and experience to make it all work, while you relax.
How can I tell if a consultant is providing a quality vendor?
Our reputation-and future business- depends on the quality of the services, including vendors, you receive. You have the final say on who is used for your wedding. Opportunities are available, for some vendors, to sample and view their product and/or service before you agree to use them. A satisfied client is our best advertisement. So, it is to our benefit to recommend the best vendors for your budget.
